When You Say Nothing at All (2016)
Approx. 4 min
A single performer unwinds a roll of paper to a soundtrack. Archival images travel down the scroll in synchronicity with music. The paper is simultaneously unrolled and projected on a wall, alluding to the mechanical process involved in film, as well as visuals in digital slideshows. The viewer is included in the performer’s process as he draws on top of the paper, inserting himself into the narrative.
